The Macedonian Solar Association took part on the occasion 10 years Habitat, Macedonia through the presentation of the European projects implemented by the association as well as the presentation of part of the production capacities of our members.

An interesting and rich first day of the project progress meeting The Excite project: the European Energy Award in Central and Eastern Europe:

We talked about the progress of the project which aims to stimulate the implementation of local energy and climate plans, to attract private investors, to promote public entrepreneurship and successfully balance public resources in 15 pilot municipalities in Bulgaria, Macedonia, Romania, Slovakia and Ukraine.

We have seen the growth of Habitat Macedonia's portfolio in the past 10 years in the field of energy efficiency in housing, which includes several projects in almost all municipalities in the country, analyses, tools, data base, web pages, manuals, publications, renovation of above 60 residential buildings with over 1900 apartments, special financing models, activities for organizing and involving tenants.

We got acquainted with the tools created within the Replace the project with which the energy efficiency is simply and quickly calculated and which can help the municipalities, but also of individual households: calculator, heating matrix, a tool for calculating savings in energy and assets.

From the Macedonian Association for Solar Energy Solar Macedonia we got acquainted with the production of solar panels and solar devices from Eco Solar, Camel Solar, as innovative solutions for saving energy and reducing the impact on the environment in several industries.

We talked about the importance of involving citizens in these processes, the challenges and ways of wider inclusion.

The representatives from Municipality of Karposh, again, presented the activities and projects that the municipality implements to improve energy efficiency in public buildings, but also in collective residential buildings.

We also visited several facilities on the ground in the municipality of Karposh, and we use the nice weather to walk around Skopje.
