Macedonian Solar Association meeting- Ministry of Agriculture, water management and forestry

The Macedonian Solar Association held a working meeting with the Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Ljupco Nikolovski and representatives from his cabinet. All the current activities and projects of the association were presented with an emphasis on the application of renewable energy sources in agriculture..

In addition, the active calls for subsidizing agricultural machinery were discussed, as well as the option for the Solar Association to become a social partner of the Ministry of Agriculture..

Within the project ” Energy efficient practices as a solution to climate change” position documents will be prepared in cooperation with our partner Agro Leader with the aim of increasing the use of solar energy, and therefore energy efficiency in production or processing processes.

For this purpose, meetings will be organized between members of the association as well as with the members of Agro Leader in Prilep., with the aim of getting to know the solar technology offered by our members and its application in agriculture. Attached are some pictures of products that could be used in agriculture.

In Strumica in cooperation with our partner ” Choice ” 6kW photovoltaic systems will be installed in order to reduce electricity bills for the organic production and drying of their agricultural products.

The activities are supported by the Project "Civil Organizations in Action for Climate Change" which is implemented by the Center for Environmental Research and Information "Eco-Svest", together with the partner organizations Macedonian Association of Young Lawyers – MZMP and the Organization for Connecting Natural Values ​​and People – CNVP Macedonia, and is funded by the Government of Sweden.
