Invitation to the 5th Annual Solar Conference, 20 years since the founding of Macedonian Solar Energy Association, Solar Macedonia

It is our great honor and pleasure to invite you to the 5th Annual Solar Conference, taking place on September 23–24, 2026, organized by the Macedonian Solar Energy Association – Solar Macedonia.

This premier event offers a unique opportunity to connect with leading stakeholders in the solar energy sector, gain access to the latest industry insights, and showcase your products and services to traders, designers, investors, and donors.

With more than 100 domestic and international members—including producers, EPC companies, trade firms, experts, and investors the Macedonian Solar Energy Association, Solar Macedonia works across all solar technologies: photovoltaic, thermal, battery storage, heat pumps, construction, and solar boilers. As one of the largest verified centers for solar installers in North Macedonia, the association continues to play a pivotal role in advancing renewable energy solutions.

The 4th Annual Solar Conference was a resounding success, attracting over 250 participants from 13+ countries. Highlights included strategic partnerships with leading solar technology exhibitions such as The Energy Transition Expo, as well as Solar Macedonia’s full membership in Solar Heat Europe.

The event included over 15 speakers and commercial presentations, with the presence of renowned international and domestic brands. Visitors were introduced to the latest trends and technologies in the field of solar energy, displayed across 15 locations in the hall, confirming the organization’s active role in this sector.

The event was opened by Dreaming Bozinovska Minister for Energetics Minerals and Mining in Macedonia and president of Macedonian Solar Energy Association, Solar Macedonia prof. Ilija Nasov

During the event, a certificate of appreciation was awarded by the Italian Ambassador Paolo Palmentieri for the long-standing successful cooperation between Solar Macedonia and the international solar fair KEY – THE ENERGY TRANSITION EXPO. The association announced that in 2026 it will participate in the fair also as an exhibitor. Additionally, memorandums of cooperation were signed with the Association of Slovenian and Macedonian Entrepreneurs, the Czech-Macedonian Business Association, the British-Kosovo Chambers of Commerce, as well as the offices of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) a skop.

Attendees had the opportunity to visit the stands of companies offering various types of solar equipment, from manufacturers to traders.

The first panel discussion focused on how business diagnostics can contribute to the development of domestic companies, while the second session emphasized the importance of quality certificates, the development of a skilled workforce, and financing opportunities.

Solar Macedonia, with over 100 members, represents a professional, scientific, educational, and civic association with a mission to strengthen cooperation among Macedonian companies in the solar sector – from manufacturers and contractors to traders and importers. The association actively works across all levels of the value chain from production to maintenance of solar systems – and promotes solar energy as a long-term solution to energy challenges.

Additionally, Solar Macedonia is a certified training center that issues officially recognized licenses for solar equipment installers, accredited by the Ministry of Education and the Center for Adult Education.

The Macedonian Solar Energy Association – Solar Macedonia – is a professional, scientific, educational, and non-governmental organization committed to enhancing collaboration in the solar energy sector. Our mission is to unite manufacturers, contractors, importers, and traders, while fostering connections among experts and researchers from a wide range of scientific disciplines to promote the increased use of renewable energy sources.

Our members are active across all segments of the solar industry, including photovoltaic systems, solar thermal, hybrid photo/thermal technologies, heat pumps, battery storage, electric vehicles, and more.

Solar Macedonia now comprises over 120 domestic and international members. We bring strong experience in R&D, particularly through participation in Horizon 2020 (H2020) projects. Since 2018, we have operated as a certified training center for solar installers and offer professional courses in solar system sizing and design using advanced software tools. We are also proud to be a full member of Solar Heat Europe.

Solar Macedonia hosts the annual Solar Conference. Furthermore, we actively participate as a business delegation partner at leading international events such as Intersolar in Munich and Key Energy Expo in Rimini, where we represent and bring together top installation and trading companies from the region.

The third annual solar conference organized by the Macedonian Solar Energy Association was a great success, attracting over 200 participants from more than 15 countries, along with 12 esteemed panelists and eight commercial presentations from notable domestic and international companies.

This event has established itself as a key platform for networking and information exchange within the industry.
