Besides the faculties, graduate engineers, organizations and associations Energy, Macedonia has no professional staff to mount solar installations. “There are many professors and engineers, but when someone has to climb on the roof of a building and install such elements, then there is no one. There are people who have done it before, but they are self-taught” – said Boris Parvanov, project coordinator.
He says that as a profession there is still no specialist in solar installations and the aim of the training is to create an initial staff, who will further train other people. Apart from the installation, these people will also be responsible for the control and maintenance of such solar systems.
Their selection was made at the suggestion of the Chamber of Crafts of Macedonia, The Chamber of Crafts of Skopje and the regional chambers of Kumanovo and Shtip.
– From the contacts with them, we understood that there is no trained staff for this work and therefore it was necessary to conduct training. On the other hand, and the project itself is focused on craftsmanship – Olivia Shterjova told us, head of the project office. The course participants are especially proud that they will be the first qualified personnel of this type in Macedonia. According to Zarko Kuzmanovski from Prilep, it would be good for the state to get more involved in the future through subsidies for the installation of such systems.
The only solar park in Macedonia, where energy from the sun is transformed directly into electricity, was released recently in Kadino and is the work of Zvonko Markovski from the company "Sieto".
With through 260 sunny days throughout the year Macedonia has a huge potential for using solar energy, which is actually one of the EU directives.
