The Macedonian Solar Association Solar Macedonia awarded the certificates to the solar installers who successfully completed the training at the closing ceremony of the University of "St.. Kliment Ohridski" in Bitola. In total 27 candidates who successfully completed the combined solar system training received certificates, verified by the Center for Adult Education and the Ministry of Education.
This initiative, started in 2019 year, represents one of the association's key efforts to raise the quality of work in the sector, developed in close cooperation with members. The certificates were awarded by the president of the association, Professor. Ilija Nasov
, together with the trainers, project partners and collaborators: Prof. Dimitar Dimitrov, Prof. Slave Armenski, Stefan Trajkov, Christian Mircevski, Ile Bonev, Philip Zaevski, Radica Kashirska Runtevska and Irina Avramska. Thanks to all the other trainers who were part of the training.
The program, aimed at strengthening the expertise and competencies of AD ESM employees (Power plants of North Macedonia), was implemented by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) with support from the Japan Fund for Technical Cooperation and Bloomberg Philanthropies. More than 600 employees benefited from specialized training in areas essential to fair, inclusive and sustainable energy transition, strengthening the institutional readiness of AD ESM for future challenges in the energy sector.
The ceremony was further enriched by the presence and inspiring speeches, as well as personal participation in the awarding of certificates from:
Sanja Bozinovska, Minister of Energy, mining and mineral resources
Fatih Turkmenoglu, director of the EBRD for North Macedonia
Recep Asani, deputy director of ESM
Stefan Kostowski and Brendan Curran, project managers in EBRD.
